In a very crowded house, the only thing that can help you is having a lot of pieces of wooden storage furniture, so you can organize lots of stuff. All the things can find their place in a piece of storage furniture if the compartments are perfectly calculated on the required sizes.

All you have to do is to design your storage organizer according to your needs and taking into account space where you want to put it. You have to choose the right wood (you have a lot of alternatives: pine, fir, oak, beech, ash, walnut, and so on).

You can easily build the wood panels using some 4-way panel clamps. Then, cut the panels to the needed dimensions and then assemble them like a lego game. Everything can be a child’s play. The only thing you have to do to look perfect is to sand the joints, bevel the edges, and protect the wood with water-based primer and varnish. If you choose to color them, you can stain them with water-based colored stain before applying primer and varnish, or you can just paint them.

The sizes of the one in the picture are 171 cm height, 101.5 cm width, and 30 cm depth.

A DIY cabinet with a lot of different sizes compartments, for organizing and storing the shoes. This storage piece of furniture is very useful in the hallway entrance, for storing footwear. It is also made out of solid pine wood. The dimensions used are 70 cm height, 112.5 cm width, and 28 cm depth.

This is a DIY piece of furniture with the back also made out of pine panels, colored with a black water-based stain. It has been compartmentalized for game boxes and various sizes of toys. The few drawers will hide some toys without boxes. The drawer fronts are made out of pine wood. Instead of using handles, we milled the drawer fronts to be easier to handle them. The dimensions of this cabinet are 206.5 cm height x 89.5 cm width and 33 cm depth.

And the last DIY piece of furniture made out of pinewood panels (including the back which is also made out of pinewood panels), has also many compartments on various widths and heights. The books, the notebooks, the games, the toys, all can be beautifully organized and stored. Some compartments can be kept for small decorations.
